- Centre for LAB Environmental and Technical Studies for Asia - was founded in 19 January 2000 in Singapore. In the following we present you with our mission as it was established in the Constitution of .

Our main objectives are:
to study and analyze the issues affecting the Detergent Alkylates industry particularly from scientific, technical, environmental and documentary angles, along with those bearing on international co-operation especially within Asia and the Pacific region.
to design scientific studies to improve the knowledge of impact Detergent Alkylates derivatives on the environment.
 
In furtherance of the objectives above may
I.

Co-operate with supranational, national and international authorities in matters of interest to Detergent Alkylates industry.

II.

Establish and maintain informal contacts with the European Center of Studies on LAB/LAS (ECOSOL) and the Council for LAB/LAS Environmental Research (CLER) and other like-minded national associations, individual committees and working parties.

III.

Promote the exchange of pertinent data and information on Detergent Alkylates with scientific organizations and institutions.

IV.

Collect, receive, prepare and circulate statistics on Detergent Alkylates and promote the study of the different Detergent Alkylates grades.

V.

Adopt, promote and utilize Responsible Care practices in the production and use of Detergent Alkylates.

VI.

Use public relations and other forms of positive influence to achieve its objectives.
