Centre for LAB Environmental and Technical Studies for Asia
- was founded in 19 January 2000 in Singapore. In the following
we present you with our mission as it was established in the
Constitution of .
| Our main objectives are: |

to study and analyze the issues affecting the Detergent
Alkylates industry particularly from scientific, technical,
environmental and documentary angles, along with those
bearing on international co-operation especially within
Asia and the Pacific region. |

to design scientific studies to improve the knowledge
of impact Detergent Alkylates derivatives on the environment. |
In furtherance of the objectives above
may |
| I. |
Co-operate with supranational, national and international
authorities in matters of interest to Detergent Alkylates
industry. |
| II. |
Establish and maintain informal contacts with the
European Center of
Studies on LAB/LAS
(ECOSOL)
and the Council for LAB/LAS
Environmental Research
(CLER)
and other like-minded national associations, individual
committees and working parties. |
| III. |
Promote the exchange of pertinent data and information
on Detergent Alkylates with scientific organizations
and institutions. |
| IV. |
Collect, receive, prepare and circulate statistics
on Detergent Alkylates and promote the study of the
different Detergent Alkylates grades. |
| V. |
Adopt, promote and utilize Responsible Care practices
in the production and use of Detergent Alkylates. |
| VI. |
Use public relations and other forms of positive
influence to achieve its objectives. |
